Plug Guy Plants started with a simple frustration: the rare-plant world runs on gatekeeping. Scarcity, markups, and a vibe that says these plants are only for people who dream about Anthuriums in their sleep. Founder Andrew Pennington grew up around a commercial greenhouse, spent a decade building a top-200 Amazon business, and came back to plants with one idea: make the good stuff accessible.

The model is honest. Instead of propping up artificial prices, we sell great plants at fair prices, over and over, in volume. Tissue culture lets you get an expensive plant cheap by growing it up yourself. Plugs let you skip the pot, soil, and labor and start with a well-rooted young plant. Either way, you get access to varieties that used to be locked behind a velvet rope.
